Helenius has been so underated. He was as productive as or more productive than the big CHL guys in the U17s and U18s with worst teamates. He’s also having a much better overall game than Catton for example. Had Reinbacher 4th last year. I’ve got Helenius 2nd this year, neck and neck with Demidov. He’s not the fans choice, but I feel he could be the management choice. He is similar to Leonard (that MTL liked a lot) but with more IQ, better vision andslighlty worst shot.

I'm a Flames fan, I've kind of been hoping you guys take Tij so we can't, at the same time I do think he'd be a good pick and make a great story, I just think there will be a better player available.

If he was 2 inches taller he'd be getting a lot more love.

You are entitled to your opinion, but after watching him a lot I don't see him as a game changer. He will be a great 2nd line forward, bringing secondary scoring, great defensively. I don't understand the comparison with Leonard, Leonard is a physical talented power forward while Helenius is an extremely smart hockey player

I'm here with you, I personally don't have Tij in my top 10 talent wise. But I'm sure CGY will take him like I'm sure Arizona will take Silayev lol

It is not like he his 5’8. 5’11 is pretty standard in the league.

    This is actually decently realistic.

You probably could get more for taking on Campbell. That would be sweet for you guys.

If you didn’t saw his physical game, you didn’t watched him play. He is running over adults bigger than him. He’s got a pest side to his game. He is an excellent forechecker. That’s why I compare him to Leonard. It is really difficult to be a good forechecker on a big ice. They are rare the prospect that value a such non-sexy part of the game like forechecking.

What is a game changer for you? Somebody who is stickhandling and scoring highlight goals against kids? When you watch a player, you need to project what he could. Fans tend to project that flashy players in CHL will do the same thing in the NHL. It is not the case for most. With his IQ, his compete and his offensive abilities, Helenius will be an excellent 2C or a fringe 1C. He could have a similar impact as Suzuki longterm (Offensively, there are similarities).

TB says thanks ,but pass. Harris isn't pushing anyone out of the spot Lilleberg will and should be their 3LD next season. They also can't afford 1,400,000 for a 7th defenseman. TB assistant GM for player development Stacy Roest is really happy with Huuntanen.

Did you select Berezkin as a worthless throw-in or had you actually noticed how well he's playing in the KHL playoffs right now?

I know that Leonard isn’t a Zegras kind of player and isn’t in the CHL.
You were talking about a game changer in the 2024 draft. I guessed you were talking about Lindstrom, Catton or Iggy. That’s why I was talking about the CHL. It is relatively easy to outbody or break ankles of 16-17-18-19 years old. It is another thing to do it against men.

I know what he is doing in the khl. smile
Saw a lot of 2x1st rounder to dump Campbell. I tought that a 1st and Berezkin was more reasonable.

Glad someone is noticing! His KHL contract ends April 30th too, so there's a real possibility he is signed prior to this trade taking place. He could step right into an NHL role for Montreal.

I want Celebrini, Demidov or Lindstrom. Definitely not a fan of Iginla, I would take Helenius before him. I would take Catton over Helenius because we need someone with a higher potential than Helenius, even if he might not hit it of ending up better than Helenius. I really like Konsta, just not the proper pick for MTL

That’s your opinion! With Helenius, I see a constant and defensively responsible 70+ points 2C getting his noise dirty to score points. With Catton, if he hit, he might be a ppg player with rush and peripheral points. Moreover, how will he be defensively?

Comparing these 2 profiles, I take Helenius everyday of the week.

I wouldn’t be against it, if they go that route. But if Lindstrom & Demidov are out when MTL pick, draft the best player available, even if it’s a Left shot D

The only LD I would consider at 5 is Buium. But I would take Celebrini, Helenius, Demidov or Lindstrom in front of him.
