I just looked at their roster, without signing anyone, and they have 10F, 7D, and 2Gs, along with Lehner on LTIR and they have over $7.5m to sign guys with. Just needing a couple wings (Doro being one, who would easily fall under the cap) I'm not sure they are in that great deal of trouble. What are you seeing with their cap?

The need to sign Marchessault alone erases the space gained from placing Lehner on LTIR next season.

OTT will not start next season with these three left Dman. The new direction will clearly make a choice between Chychrun and Chabot, and move the other piece to have a Right Dman that has a more defensive and robust style to balance the Dcore.

If all it costs to extend Marchessault is getting pickpocketed over a couple of prospects, you make the sacrifice.

More likely I'd imagine they'd trade McNabb and free up just under $3m that way. If JM wants years and money, Vegas is better off walking away from a guy turning 34 next year.

Trades get agreed to on here all the time. If yours aren't, it's because you're either not being considerate enough of the others' POV or you're paying too much attention to the few fans from each fanbase that decline everything that doesn't overpay their team. Further, there's a distinct difference between getting "trashed" and getting "feedback". If you're getting trashed, it often means you've failed to account for something significant in your proposal. If you're getting trashed often, you ought to realise it can't always be everyone else that's wrong.
