Walker is going to cost more than that, and likely command an extra year. Tierney is a league min guy. Not a Buffalo fan but I expect UPL may be in a good bargaining spot to get more based on the year he has had.

Sabres aren’t gonna trade their best RD….
to a division rival….
for a player we don’t need & would have no interest in

Sorry Leafs fan,
but the trade just doesn’t make sense for us

Jokiharju is definitely getting traded. That’s another reason why they are bad because an awful player like Jokiharju is their best RHD.

Byram and power can play as right handed and are better than Henri. In Robertson, he was the leafs second highest even strength goal percentage amongst all leafs despite playing only like half the games and little TOi. Check advanced stats. Robertson based on this percentage would have outscored everyone on the Leafs but Matthews had he played regularly and on the PP. This trade gives Buffalo a younger and very high prospective scorer to help with the offense because in reality Tuch and Skinner are 2nd line wingers. Most ppl predicted a drop in production from those two. They are great players but are better on the 2nd line. They have Petterka, and Benson, so adding a guy like Robertson gives depth and stronger scoring year after year. Buffalo also has lots of cap space to easily replace Henri with a veteran capable.of same production but a stronger voice which could also be what was missing to bring Buffalo to the playoffs. Also ex leafs love to score on their old teams. So you can probably guarantee like 8 Robertson goals against the leafs alone this year.

My lineup still has 2 million in bargaining. I will admit I have no idea for UPL. He has bargaining on his year but it is only one year and that gives bargaining to Buffalo. Limited experience helps Buffalo. Either way Buffalo with their cap space and looking to trade Henri for one more scoring forward can help them really do damage. As said in previous comment, if Robertson played regularly, his EV goal percentage would give him like 25 goals. This past year , Buffalo struggled offensively. They traded a good offensive center in mittledtad for Byram. (Good trade though I think) This gives so many options for this lineup to make a really strong team next year and still maneuver their salary cap.

Ok, cool
But that’s just your opinion & not necessarily the opinion of Adams

Why doesn’t make ANY SENSE at all,
is trading Jokiharju for a FORWARD
ESPECIALLY one who isn’t that good
Plus, we are loaded with forwards coming up soon

There’s ZERO CHANCE a trade like this happens

Sure, we could upgrade Jokiharju
But that doesn’t mean we’d trade him for a FORWARD we don’t need or want
We are ABSOLUTELY LOADED with young forward talent coming

Robertson just wouldn’t be of interest to us
And u can’t call Tuch & Skinner 2nd line wingers and try to sell us on Robertson
That’s just absurd- STOP

I know they won’t trade him for a forward probably a 2 or 3rd round pick, but I believe there’s a slim chance that he’s on the team next year.

Here’s the thing though….
it’s A LOT easier to replace him on here than it is in real life

Of course the idea of upgrading him to someone like Roy, Pesce, DeMelo, etc etc is appealing
But we have no clue if any of those types would wanna sign with us

I think it’s certainly possible that Jokiharju is back with us next year- & even likely to be Power’s partner

Again, i do think Adams will TRY to upgrade,
but that’s easier said than done

We ABSOLUTELY won’t be trading Jokiharju for Robertson though, that’s for damn sure

I see your points but keep in mind that the Sabres are LOADED with forward prospects that project to be high octane players. Savoie, Kulich, and Rosen are all gonna be NHL ready next season. Ostlund, Wahlberg, Marjala, Poltapov etc arent gonna be far behind either. Robertson is a nice middle 6 guy right now and may grow but in those 3 top prospects we have top 6 potential and therefore they have priority in the lineup over bringing in outside talent

The Sabres don't need more small skill players.

I agree, we don't need any more undersized skill players. I would like to point out, if you don't listen, the locked on sabres podcast was just saying that, statistically, the Byram jokiharju pair has been the worst defensive pair in the league. I don't want 6 puck movers, I want a few guys that make our zone a scary place for the other team. You can say that adams wouldn't agree, and you'd probably be right, but the ice that adams is skating on is getting thinner by the day.

Is it though?
Or do u just want it to be?

Bc i haven’t seen or heard ANY indication AT ALL that Pegula is unhappy w Adams

Also,
1- that podcast sucks
2- i don’t expect them to be paired together moving forward anyways
Byram-Dahlin
Power-(maybe) Jokiharju

I don't mind the podcast. It doesn't sound like state sponsored radio. Kinda wish he'd have guests on though, somebody like Travis Yost or Chris baker would be cool.
