I'd argue that its closer to 1-1, as mentioned both players have their warts, but Zegras being younger, cheaper, and able to play center makes up for any value differences for their current abilities. Kyrou is in his prime, Zegras hasn't hit his yet.

Heh. Cheaper for how long? Kytou is locked down to a deal that will be a bargain for years. And the differences in their current abilities are large. Able to play center is also a bit misleading. He was moved to the wing because he's not responsible enough to play top 6 C.

He was moved to the wing because two centers drafted at 3 and 2 OA were brought in on top of him. He's been playing 2C in McTavish's absense, even took the draw at the start of OT last night.

His move to wing is due to an overabundance of centers in Anaheim, not due to him not working as a center. If he was really that bad, Strome would be playing center instead of him.

Fair enough, but I think plenty of teams have two Cs they'd rather play there. It's not unique to Anaheim.

And it's the end of a dead season. I'm sure they'll run a lot of things to see how it goes. Bannister has gone mad scientist and we're not even eliminated yet.

Cronin literally had him playing exclusively LD in practices at the start of the season to try and get some defensive awareness in him, it's been a wild season for sure.

But hey, at least he's not a defensive liability anymore, so we got that going for us.
