a very 1 dimensional statement. He's been top 7 in GSAX%, GSAX% per 60, SV% on high danger chances and basically every other stat for goalies.

Overall over the past 2 years he is 9th in GSAx. Right behind Samuel Montembault and Stuart Skinner, and right above Connor Ingram.

All of those guys are younger, and would be about 5 mill cheaper over the next 2 years.

And if I offered a 1st+Gritysuk+Clarke for any 3 of those goalies I'd expect those teams to say yes.

Ullmark is 2nd over the last 2 years in GSAx. Could probably be had for only a 1st, again younger

So again, justify why NJD should pay all this for the 35 year old

I can't see the caps paying for Coleman at age 32 with that contract.

Ullmark has an NTC he won't waive and as for the 2022-23 stats, Gustaffson and Koorpisalo were both top 10 so idk how those stats are being pulled into this

Do you go full purgatory and retain on kadri and Huberdeau and get them out of town also, possibly for firsts 3 years from now even, just so if you hit those firsts the money is back available when there off there elc, this is kind of a Minnesota situation and there buyouts.

i guess you could, but due to the cap minimum, theyre either taking back bad contracts or not moving other players

Timeline is tough too with the 6 and 8 year contracts and negotiating how much retention and how much it will affect down the road, might be last off season though that might get them out from under them or risk having to buyout or ltir future. Would need some slick dealings and bad contracts galore back as long as the term is minimal.
