I agree it should be 6.75 or 7 but if we truly want him in Boston we might have to overpay to entice him to come. depends on how they view Lorhei long term and if they ever intend to move on from Lindholm. I don't think Hanifin is the be all end all of making the defence truly great and there are other options that could be used.

I would rather look at contracts as % of cap vs expected dollars, because overpaying today will be a bargain tomorrow especially since the cap is no longer being artificially reduced

To me, the question is how much more would you be willing to spend on Hanifin vs Skjei vs an older player who might take less?

i can tell you that this is a team that doesn't like to overpay, and really likes lindholm.
