Gibson is a far distance on guys the Devils should target based much on his bloated contract and in this case the cost of very good young player that should fight for top 6 spot next year.

No reason for us to even consider tendering Isac Lundestrom and Max Jones so much less than their Qualifying Offers, and no reason for them to take those numbers. As to Urho Vaakanainen, he's played well enough for us this season that I think that he gets a raise to $1.25 million + or -.

You failed to re-sign Jackson LaCombe (a must) and Benoit-Olivier Groulx, Brett Leason and Gus Lindstrom (probables), all of whom will be cheap. Troy Stecher won't give us much more than Lindstrom.

No reason to sign both Toffoli and Perron, as proven by the fact that you have the latter on his off side.

I'm predicting that Trevor Zegras is moved to wing next season; Carlsson and McTavish will be our two top centers. Greg Cronin may even try him on the right.

I can see Isac getting one more chance considering he was out half the year. You can do worse than signing him to a one year prove it contract. Jones however, I think is gone. No room for him and can’t stay healthy. I honestly don’t really like Lindstrom that much. I don’t mind letting him walk. Groulx is a fine depth piece, but not essential in my opinion. LaCombe I feel is a bit overrated, but I’d still keep him more than I wouldn’t, plus he’s only a rookie so no need to give up on him yet. Vaakanainen will definitely be kept. And Leason imo should be the top priority as far as the RFAs are concerned. He proved himself as a valuable asset this season while still showing he has even more potential to his game that he can certainly grow into. He should be a staple in the bottom 6 next season, especially with Silfverberg leaving in the offseason. No way Stecher is coming here, especially with Zegras here. Those two have a history with one another and I doubt Stecher wants to play with Zegras. None of these UFAs interest me outside of maybe Martinook. I think the Ducks should go all in on Sam Reinhart. He’s a guy I would pay near max dollar for and he’s exactly what this team needs offensively. As for the Gibson trade, it would be nice cause I do like Alexander Holtz, but I don’t think the Devils will go in this direction as they’re more likely to go after Jacob Markstrom.
