But like I said in another thread, if there's extension in place, Grans + 3rd/4th + either -24 FLA 1st or -25 COL 1st would be something Briere could do, then it's up to Sens if they take it or leave it. Can be Attard if he is more interesting than Grans.

He's not returning the same value anymore as he's pending UFA looking for a career contract. And Flyers shouldn't be sacrificing lots of futures to acquire him. If it's not enough then so be it.



He's worth a 1st +, even as a rental for team needing him. Not sure if Flyers is the team in need right now and I'm not saying I want him, but rumours say that there was interest on Flyers' side and I don't think they were looking for a rental. Chychrun with extension would most likely mean trading one D for C. At least when they feel Bonk is ready for regular minutes.

Yes, was a deadline deal and Hanifin didn't want to extend to Calgary. Chychrun is about the same level player as Hanifin, you don't know if he wants to stay there.

chych himself has said he would like to stay in OTT several times so OTT can just resign him if they do not get what they want for him, also hanifin was traded as a rental, Chych would not be unless it is at the deadline but any chych trade will come in the off season.also this was a buyers market this trade deadline so prices for players was lower than normal.

Chychrun is a rental unless there is agreed extension in place during the trade. He's pending UFA, just as Hanifin, only timing (off season vs TDL) would be different, acquiring team would just have more time to negotiate the extension. But we will see which one of us is closer to right value IF he gets traded. I still say that it'll be somewhere around 1st, B-prospect and 3rd, might be even 2nd if there is multiple teams wanting him.
