In this fantasy are you saying we are getting Celebrini because you’re trading the pick as part of this fantasy deal? Ok that’s at least a decent starting point but why are you send us all that junk back?

That's not the return for Crosby and Letang, I think it's just somes elements that will gonna be gone.

I know that's not lead for Sid and Kris....

Two firsts, a young quality D, quality young winger adding to your trend of adding Finnish players, and two experienced vets on expiring deals who could be flipped at half salary at the deadline for additional picks.

Or wait one year, try to entice him to sign as a UFA, and give up nothing. A big part of that return is for Letang with the salary retention. Pretty sure that if Crosby walks, the Pens will also respects wishes.

Crosby picks his destination. Don’t expect a huge return.

Crosby is still elite. If you want him AND Letang with half retention it’ll cost a lot more than 2 late 1sts, 2 cap dumps, a fringe NHL winger, and a #4/5 dman

Got it so we give you one of the best players ever for basically zero. Take a hike. We will keep him.

No you're just not able to avoid the fact that both have full NMC and you have no leverage unless they waive it.
Giroux gave 1 team , Taresenko gave 1 team, Tavares refused to talk about it as did Skinner.
Only time someone who fought that hard to get a Full NMC chooses to waive it or entertain a bunch of suitors is is they're in a Jeff Petry Pickle.

That said i wouldnt Retain Salary because of it if i was you
You may lose leverage if they both only give you 1 team and TBH if BOTH were going they'd likely choose together
It would be left to the 2 teams to figure it out or they pull their offer to Waive for 1 team and dont move to any team at all but stay remembering this.

That said im not convinced they'd want to come or that MTL needs them
Its likely they do and if that were the case we'd figure out a deal that works for all

But if its me Letang just isnt needed and we know how him and Matheson play together aka they dont
Crosby makes sense too but as much as i'd love that with him as a Pending UFA as we're contending and you're rebuilding
Right now i'd rather Monahan and Toffoli back , of which i think Monahan actually will return but Toffoli would have 10-15 offers likely better then we'd offer.

You don’t have to worry about any of it because it’s a dream invented by Canadian media after one out of context comment.
