Manson & Couture are too old

Couture has only played 6 games this year, would like to get out of Skinner's contract but not for this.

He's not sure if he'll ever play again with his condition, something that apparently can't be dealt with through surgery.

Manson likely costs a bit more than that. Stylistically probably just what the Sabres need but probably too old for them to be looking at.

I've heard they'll need to move him due to the cap constraints and Mitts will want money. But we can hash out whatever we'd get back if we sent you a 2nd.

I see it as, you either escape Skinner's contract for a vet center whose overpaid but will eventually be on LTIR or just plain LTIR fodder.

Or you just wait one more year, after his 10mill next year his actual money owed drops dramatically to almost half the last year. Just hope he keeps scoring goals and then next offseason hopefully someone will take a chance or then you pay someone to take him.

Even with Skinner next year, Sabres still have 23mill in Cap space.

It's quite possible they do and it's more likely to be a 3rd plus another lower pick or prospect to help re-stock the farm a little. Like I said only a bit more, and for once a team maybe wanting quantity over quality.
