Don't rush kids to the NHL. You're not doing their development any favors.

You don’t think Demidov is ready for the NHL? I mean you could put him the AHL and the lineup still works, just put Kastelic on the 4th and Crookshank on the 3rd.

I think most players that were deemed NHL ready at the draft aren't actually NHL ready and could use more time to develop. Especially Europeans that can go straight into the AHL and don't get stuck in juniors.

Lafereniere and Kakko were both considered NHL ready, and both of them are struggling to acclimate. Even Jack Hughes could have benefitted from a year in college or the AHL.

I even think Stutzle would be a much more complete player now if he spent a season in the AHL.

Remove the retention and you have a deal.

They would have to retain Karlsson in any trade involving him. That’s just the reality. For your sake of the argument then Ottawa would remove the first and probably replace Jarventie for another prospect, if their is no retention.

At which point PIT will keep EK.
They aren't retaining 3 mil for 3 years.
Puck moving RHD of his caliber are hard to come by. I'd be willing to move him for the right package. The return there isn't great to start so there is no way I'm retaining at all.
