ANA isn’t even interested at that price. With Zegras, Terry, Killorn, Vatrano, Strome, Lundestrom (sometimes sometimes W) and Gauthier, there’s no room for an undersized winger who wouldn’t fit on the bottom line

If Konecny came with a long extension I’d love that for the Leafs

How is this an argument?

I just disagree. I have seen Marner on the PK and do not think he is better at it, but that is besides the point.

In this trade, firstly, the value is tilted since Marner is making double the cap, so his value peeters off a little bit. Also, I believe that Marner is the better passer, but, as an overall player, Konecny is better. I also think Konecny can play anywhere in the top-9, where Marner has to play on the first line to be effective.

I’ll take Konecny and the extra cap space any day
