Parayko is going nowhere

If the right offer is made, if the Blues miss the playoffs again, why not?

Blues say no, they’d do this for Faulk but this is extremely off base for Parakyo

We arent San Jose. We don't have a need to trade our best defender. Contract is just fine. If it's not the greatest, why trade for it anyway and present a pathetic offer?

Just out of curiosity, how many Parayko trades do you think you've made in the last year?

I remember making trades for him a year and a half ago. Probably over 10. He's exactly what the Leafs need and the Blues are not a contender so I think both sides should be able to find a deal that'll benefit both.

Leafs are in a 2-4 year window. He fits the timeline. Year 5 and 6 of that contract doesn't matter. But that still diminishes his value. If the Blues are willing to play ball he's an ideal candidate for the Leafs to get in the summer.

Nobody gives a rat's fat ass what the Leafs need, I hate to break it to you. All teams have their own plans (except apparently San Jose). And if this is the best you can offer, you're just a glutton for punishment.

The offer, like clockwork, is laughable garbage. You've even had multiple Leafs fans telling you this on multiple AGMs. I'm also fairly certain you've made far more valuable offers for Parayko than this embarrassment before now. So everyone tells you no 100 times and explains exactly why 20 times (because gosh who wants to keep repeating the same thing over and over to a brick wall?), and your chosen path is to play hardball. Becaaaaause... what? That's ever worked before?

The Leafs are not getting Parayko. It's not happening. You cannot wish it into existence. Let it go already. Break your chains. Be free. Acceptance is the only way forward.

Fair points. But this package isn't awful. The way I see it, it's a 1st, two 2nds, and a 3rd. Liljegren is equivalent to a 1st and Robertson is equivalent to a 2nd. Both are good players who have flaws to their games but they have potential and talent. They are not busts. They are not magic beans. They are proven NHLers, who will be RFA, and can be extended for cheap. If they were on other teams they would have higher value, but because they're Leafs their names get dragged through the mud.

I don't think Parayko is getting back an elite prospect if he were to be traded. And sure you can say the Blues don't want to trade him. But the NHL is still unpredictable and trades happen out of the blue sometimes.

Buddy, you're counting 27 picks as full value. It's not the package you think it is. Maybe it seems more valuable to the Leafs. That I get. Decent young players and decent picks sound great to a team who's contending hard but don't have a lot of top talent in the prospect pool. The Blues don't fit that description at all.

And most of all, Parayko is not available. I don't know why that's so hard to accept. If anything changes, I have little doubt the Blues fans here will make it known.
