But Jake is gonna cost a 1st + Othmann or Kakko considerinf the bidding war going on right now, so I would have rathered to have Vatrano for term reasons, even if he's not as good.

Henrique around a ‘25 1st
Vatrano slightly over Kakko
JPerreault + 2nd slightly less than Othmann

I don't know what a JPerreault is, but if you're referring to Gabe Perrault that is an obvious no and would have been included there. That's very far off. I can see the 2nd or B prospect (Berard, etc) for Vatrano retention.

Ducks offered Henrique+Vatrano to the Rangers for the same package and the Rangers said no according to Emily Kaplan. Take out Kakko and add a prospect like Sykora, Robertson and Bryce McConell-Barker and that probably gets it done.

Oops looks like the end got cut off, I just updated it. Jacob Perreault is Gabe’s brother, an ANA prospect from the late first round in 2020. I’m fully aware we have zero shot of acquiring Gabe for any of these way older assets. That’d be a pipe dream.

If the rumor is true that NYR turned that trade down I was still off on value favoring ANA, but probably not too dramatically. I thought Henrique was worth a smidge more than a ‘25 1st, Vatrano (retained at the time) was a smidge more than Kakko, and then JPerreault + 2nd was a bit less than Oth to offset those
