Unlikely to trade Kampf also. But he can be moved.

I’m a sens fan and this feels like an overpayment by the leafs.

McCabe isn’t good enough to be a number 2 D on a cup contender. But he would excel in a 3rd line role on the Sens. I do think he has value at his cap hit.

Kampf is more of a salary dump tbh. He is a good 4th liner but replaceable by a cheaper player.

Cowan and the 1st are where the big value lie on the Leafs end.

Chychrun is a solid #2D on a cup contender. He is buried behind Chabot and Sanderson in Ottawa. His value will only decrease as his contract expires and I don’t see the Sens contending this season and I’m doubtful for this season as well.

If Toronto does acquire Chychrun please play him at his natural LD position.

I agree that McCabe should be a 3rd pair guy on a cup contender. But he is also better than Benoit and Lyubuskin. Lyubuskin is a 7th dman and Benoit should be a #6.

Keep McCabe and get rid of Timmins and that top 8 would be very solid.

McCabe's M NTC probably nixes the trade anyway.
Leafs need Kampf as they only have five NHL centres if you include Holmberg.

Yes it is, but good news for sens fans it would probably take a deal like this as the sens are likely to apply a "rival" tax and get a deal like this. I would prefer a 1st, Robertson and a Hirvonen which is similar to what Ottawa gave up for Chychrun as a 1st and 2 2nds but most likely Ottawa asks for way more.
