Don't love unloading Ullmark for a 31 year old UFA.

I’d probably do that deal, but I also believe they’d extend Toffoli. A Debrusk / Zacha / Toffoli line would be an upgrade and would make the rest of the lineup make more sense.

I don’t understand the lines put together by the thread starter at all, but I could see a deal like this

Then Toffoli likely walks in the off-season and all Boston has to show for Ullmark is a 2nd + 5th. The 2nd rounder will be lucky to be on an NHL roster by 2028 and the 5th will be lucky to ever play in an NHL game.

That is how acquiring rentals work yeah.

I mean I’m sure they’d try to resign him if you follow this team you know they rarely don’t extend their deadline acquisitions. Last year they plainly didn’t have the cap space for Bert.

Which is why Boston shouldn't be trading Ullmark to acquire a rental.
