Description
Having 8-9 NHL defensemen means that someone must be traded: the fact that Sekera and Russell have NMC's means that one of the young men will go, hardly an ideal way to improve your team.

Irrespective of how well Nugent-Hopkins does this season, or how valuable he is to the team, there's a good chance he gets traded for cap reasons - because Lucic has a NMC.

More and more ELC players will have to be played, therefore players like Maroon probably won't be re-signed to make room for the probable ELC bonuses.

Using worst-case scenario: no cap increase.

rather have them buy out Russell and keep nurse but i like the nuge trade and the rest of the lineup. well done. also NMC is not the same as a no trade clause, it just means they cant be sent down to the AHL or be exposed in expansion

No way Vegas trades Cody Glass. He is likely their face of their franchise. First ever pick in franchise history. I'm sure he is highly regarded in Vegas's eyes.

NMC is more strict than NTC, not less.

NMC:

Player cannot be traded without his consent (however, the clause can specify a modified no-trade clause that limits the NTC to a certain number of teams)
Player cannot be placed on waivers without his consent
Player cannot be assigned to the minors without his consent

NTC:

Player cannot be traded without his consent
Consent is not required to be placed on waivers
Consent is not required for assignment to the minors
