not using picks on JGP, Branny has enough interest to not require sending a pick as well, not enough in Carolina's offer for both especially if Pesce doesn't come with an extension, pick value drops off heavily after first 20 or so

We don't have center depth with Brock Nelson going to wing on the top line. Lou isn't going to move him now that we are in shouting distance from the wild card spot. We only move Pagaeu if we are upgrading offense

Doesn't really work for the Jackets; the point of trading Boqvist is that we've got too many blueliners in that "fair-to-middlin'" skill level range and need to kick the value down the road a little, so a straight-up replacement does us no good.

Canes might circle back on Chychrun in the offseason, but that is a pretty bad deal for the Canes.
