If the Canadiens were going to trade Cole Caufield, what do you think the return would be? Zegras is slightly younger than Caufield and has outscored Caufield by a lot prior to this year where he’s been hurt.

A 1st rounder + A Prospect + Top 6 Foward. Caufield can just score, he’s invisible without the puck. Same for Zegras. Not worth a top 7 pick.

So where’s the top 6 forward in this offer? Please don’t say Christian Dvorak lol. Sean Farrell was the 10th rated prospect in the canadiens system in the rankings the Athletic just put out. And that Jets pick will likely be in the late 20s at best. Ducks have no need for LD, so Xhekaj serves no purpose in this trade.
