I agree that Guentzel can be extended in VAN, but there are some glaring miscalculations on your above roster.

VAN won’t let Joshua walk. Hronek will make $7-7.5 million aav. Personally, I don’t think Guentzel will make quite that much aav. I’d say $9 million would be the fair maximum for him on a competitive team. I’m sure he could get much more from a worse team. Lastly, even with the extension, that is a little steep. I’d probably say remove Joseph and lower the 2nd.

I know but POJ isn't really what management and coaches want for a defense this is so much worse this compares to pre Tocchet Defense our issues aren't scoring goals it's keeping the puck out of the net. Getting a scorer at the deadline is one thing making it so we have to score like the 80s Oilers to be good is not good for the future of this team.
