I disagree, LA knows having a good goalie is needed be a good team. When Quick was an elite goalie they were as well. they will have 17 Million dollars after the Ullmark trade to get 3LW 3RW a 4th line and a backup goalie which is plenty of room

LA has two goaltenders with a .914 SV% at less than half Ulmarks salary, this is too much for a wild card with decent goaltending to spend.

Last time a goaltender was traded for a 1st was Kuemper 3 yrs ago and he was traded for a 1st a 3rd and the signing rights to Conor Timmins, so if the Kings do target him it will be a package something similar to that not this absurd package.

Rittich has played well, but Talbott has really regressed since a hot start. His GSaX/60 after his hot start would be a concern, but you should go with Rittich. Its not like you have a choice with the current t cap situation

I tend to agree, but objectively Talbot played well enough to be an all-star this season and been pretty good since the 0-7 big loss, In his last 4 he his lowest SV%.917, I think both him and Rittich go on hot and cold streaks which could be equally beneficial as problematic from a playoff point of view.

Yeah. The cap has led to every team making a selective choice on what position they want to take a risk at. Boston did it with center and LA did it with goalie. Both appear to be outperforming expected production.
