If they want to add anything, they are going to need to move out cap hit in order to activate Arvidsson who is expected back before the season ends. Moving that from defense makes sense and Roy seems the likely player.

No. You're better off trying to sign him as a UFA. You could potentially trade for his signing rights at the draft if the Kings can't work out an extension.

They already activated Arvidsson a few weeks ago and had everyone healthy at the same time, and the cap situation was fine. When everyone is healthy they have to run with a 21-man roster.

No one needs to be moved. Hoven suggested that in a worst case scenario, the Kings would trade Blake Lizotte to free up an additional $850k or so.

WIth a 21 man roster they have 1 mil in space so like I said, if they want to add just about anything at the deadline they will need to make space and that becomes even harder if anyone else comes off LTIR with Arvidsson.

Arvidsson is their add. Moving Roy creates a bigger gap than anything they'd try to fill.

They already traded two very good young defensemen in Durzi and Faber. One for cap reasons; one for Fiala. It's hard to imagine they trade Roy

This is a hard no for 2 reasons

1. The kings aren’t in a position to sell

2. Roy is by far their best defensemen
