NSH still needs to sign Arvidsson, Watson, Gaudreau and Aberg. Nelson is also a center and a consistent 20+ goal scorer who is in the final year of his contract (will be an RFA). He will be playing hard for his next deal.

This deal gives NSH some additional breathing room on the cap and a surplus of other usable assets. Perhaps they can ante up more for Duchene and use him (in addition to Nelson) as Johansen's replacement. I'm not saying a deal like this will happen but if it were on the table I think it would be considered.
