Meh. You'd want a first. This dmarket is so dry. Could of waited 7more days. 99% sure a team would of offered a first.

Lindholm trade is fine. First is going to be really late tho. Jurmo basically has no future in the NHL. Took a 5.5M cap dump but he's talented so it's okay. Hunter is a nice prospect.

I'm convinced Kuzmenko will figure it out and they could end up with another 1st rounder by trading him next deadline. I think Conroy's doing very well considering he has multiple players over the past 2-3 years that have openly admitted to wanting to play elsewhere. He can only do so much when his hands get tied like that.

I agree, he’s done fine with the hand he was given. Zadorov wanted a trade, Lindholm didn’t sign when given the chance, and neither will Hanafin. Tanev is a coveted asset and typical rental, so getting that business done will allow him to focus on a Hanafin trade.

A 2nd, a 2nd round prospect, and potentially a 3rd is a good return for Tanev, who really wasn’t actually fetching a 1st. Knowing that he wanted to keep retention spots open on a team that doesn’t typically like to retain, a 3rd and 5th for a disgruntled Zadorov is a fine return. He did very well on the Lindholm deal. None are bad deals. He should utilize the sign and trade and retention to maximize the Hanifin deal. Personally, from an unbiased perspective, he’s done pretty well given the circumstances.

I hear ya man. I’m always hoping for the absolute best possible result and Conroy’s fallen short in my eyes when Trading our D-Men, but hopefully he knows what he’s doing and if that was the best return we could get for Zadorov at the time then so be it

I appreciate your optimism and certainly don’t disagree, but as Batman points out, we were primed to get an over pay on Tanev given the interest in him and fact it’s a dry market for Dmen this trade deadline

It is what it is. At least they’re not walking for nothing and maybe we luck out with those picks

No team was offering a 1st for Tanev.

As a rookie GM Conroy has done really well. Flames fans should temper expectations. They have nothing to complain about with these trades.

    I agree.

Feels like we got a handful of nickle and dimes buried in other teams couches.
    No real quality here.

A single late 1st and no real blue chip prospect for 4 UFAs out the door, 3 of which were top roster players.

    Pretty dissapointed so far.
