1 - Have you ever heard the phrase "quantity over quality"? That's this offer you love. And then there's the fit, which is not working at all here. It's what you want to give up, not what the Blues would require to hand you Buch with a really, really silly amount of retention to ask for on a player with some term.

2 - Have you ever heard the term "motivated seller? Because the Blues are definitely not one. You're going on about a motivated seller level offer. That's the wrong path. Somebody would need to wow Army. He's been pretty clear about that.

Start with a bona fide young top 4 caliber Dman. And unless that Dman is crazy good, forget about pushing the 1st to 25. Start there. Act like the Blues are not actually interested in selling. Make that offer.
