Arizona trade makes no sense for the Leafs.
The Leafs are playoff contenders. Why are they selling off their depth for picks?
Gregor, Robertson, Liljegren are all on team friendly contracts the Leafs need to stay cap compliant.

There isn't a spot for them with a fully healthy line up. Besides, they are not playoff players. They're not big or physical. Leafs should sell high, and add to the prospect pool with the picks they'll get for them.

Doesn't make much sense for AZ either. Robertson is another undersized winger (Keller, Schmaltz, Maccelli, Carcone) with giant question mark for health. Gregor is a 12/13 forward. Tucson is stacked with them. Lilley wouldn't replace Durzi. The first is just moving up seven or eight spaces with the Washington second. And they're moving another second and third for it.

What is Arizona going to do with all those picks? Draft everyone? They have to turn some picks into ready now players. Robertson is on the cusp. Liljegren is a good puck mover.

Wouldn't touch Robertson in our position. He's skilled, but there's no room, and this is the first year he hasn't missed substantial time. He should be worth more to the Leafs as cheap depth. Best bet is a team like San Jose if they are moving him.

I'd move a third for Lilly. Maybe a late second since they have a million of them. They already have Durzi to play that same game, and he's doing it well. They need two solid minute eaters, and Lilly isn't that. I do think he's got room to grow, but he isn't getting it in Toronto. He is in sink or swim territory.
Neither he or Durzi are the type of dmen to build around, but I definitely wouldn't move Durzi and picks to add a less-established version of him. Makes no sense.
If they're trading those picks, they should trade them for guys to build a core around or trading up on draft day. I don't trust Robertson's health to be a core player. I think Lilly maxes out like Durzi, and is a question mark until then. I don't think Durzi or Lilly are going to be core players on playoff teams.

and rather keep a better D in durzi, all those picks can overpay for players they want.
