2nd/Harrison might get you one of those pieces. Grizz and Zboril get you nothing. Only way Grizz has value to Preds is if they want to extend him….they don’t.

They could flip him for picks but what some one is willing to offer for gryz is another question

Grz as cap filler is probably what you could hope for. 1 year contract. Decent history of being useful and probably open to signing a “security” contract. If you don’t like what you see, he’s gone next year.

This deal maybe gets you Carrier. It doesn’t get you Novak though I could see a team looking at Harrison’s play in Providence and wanting him as a prospect.

Harrison went from inconsistent effort, frustrating player with a great shot in juniors to showing some potential as a grinder in Providence. I viewed him as a disappointment even though he was putting up counting numbers in the OHL. Don’t think he’s producing enough to make him worth more than a 3rd, but could see him increase his value next season if he continues to work.

If the trade is at the deadline there is not time to flip him. On top of which they won’t get enough to make up the difference. It’s not how trades work really either. You pay the value, if you throw in a piece like Grizz for cap purposes, and the other team can flip for something it’s a bonus, but it’s not how you pay for the cost.

In this case you trade Grizz in a separate deal and pay Preds with value pieces.

As pure rentals, maybe. If you want to sign them, add a much better prospect and a much better pick and delete Nashville’s pick.

I would 100% consider that, especially with how Poitras has looked so far, despite the injury. However, I don't think that it would happen as there have some reports from local reporters in NSH that Trotz is looking to resign Novak right now, so I don't know if it actually happens.
