Not for that he doesn't. Goyette is ok but nothing special and the rest is very underwhelming for a top pair defenseman. Make it this year's 1st instead of 2nd and Calgary considers it. Or make it Larsson + Shane Wright and Calgary accepts.

Horribly bad for Flames. Treliving isn’t in Calgary anymore.

A deal of that framework makes zero sense for the Kraken whatsoever. Hanifin is apparently adamant about testing free agency, so he'll be a rental to whoever acquires him. Including Larsson in this deal undermines the whole point of trading for Hanifin and would seriously hurt the Kraken over the rest of the season, which is the timespan they'd be acquiring Hanifin for in the first place. Given their current standing, Seattle has no business trading for rentals this year, let alone giving away their top pairing RHD for one.

Given their respective contract situations and handedness, along with the fact that Hanifin is apparently destined for the open market this summer, I'd say Larsson has at least the same trade value as Hanifin at the moment. That being said, I think Calgary would want to aim younger in a Hanifin trade return.

Stop believing all the crap copycat TV talking heads and garbage writers spew. Hanifin says he won't resign in Calgary, a credible reporter or analyst mentions it and all these hacks start claiming he said he's going to test free agency. If he gets traded to a team he likes there's an excellent chance he'll extend with them. He's already said Tampa is a team he'd extend with.
