i thought the avs should have moved Byram for Lindy,so this works. but if i was the avs they needed Lindy more than Hanifin.until the avs replace Kadri and get another goalie,they have no chance at a cup.theres 5 really good teams in the west and the avs arent one of them.

Avs won’t be able to resign Hanifin, not sure why they do this.

Hard no on this trade.... Avs couldn't resign Hanifin and LOC is a coaches favorite that he has put on PK and can move from 1st line to 4th line.. Byram is under cost control for 2 more years after this year so it just doesn't make sense for Avalanche to take away a team and coach favorite winger for slight upgrade this year and create a huge hole after this year...

Avs would be more interesting on Tanev to pair with Bo and slide Jack Johnson to 7th D.

With his injury history Byram is too big a risk for Calgary to take especially as the main asset coming back. Ritchie + 2024 1st gets it done and we can take back a cap dump too. Make the cap dump Ryan Johansen who the Flames could actually use next year and Calgary can send something extra (don't get greedy now) to Colorado too.
