the extra pieces in the Matheson trade are basically canceling themselves package for package so it essentially Matheson or Howard and a 2nd I'm not sure how much value Howard has as a prospect right now because of how well he's playing, personally i wouldn't trade Matheson for a prospect , id trade him for a young player already in the NHL
