Quoting: Novistic
This trade was a joke, but getting serious for a sec. Guentzel won't get you Rantanen. It might get you Lehkonen, though.
Just to compare the three gentleman mentioned above: (stats 5v5, against forwards with 500+ min)
Guentzel:
Expected Goals per 60: 1.18 (98th%)
Goals per 60: 1.21 (94th%)
Points per 60: 2.41 (93rd%)
Corsi: 56% (86th%)
Expected Goals Against per 60: 2.85 (16th%)
Shooting Talent Above Average: 15.7% (91st%)
Rantanen:
Expected Goals per 60: 0.77 (72nd%)
Goals per 60: 0.94 (84th%)
Points per 60: 2.02 (81st%)
Corsi: 53% (77th%)
Expected Goals Against per 60: 2.86 (15th%)
Shooting Talent Above Average: 28% (98th%)
Lehkonen:
Expected Goals per 60: 0.79
Goals per 60: 0.75
Points per 60: 1.74
Corsi: 52%
Expected Goals Against per 60: 2.59
Shooting Talent Above Average: -9.2%
So by these numbers, Guentzel is better than Rantanen. The only way he isn't better is shooting talent above average and that he is 2 years older.
Why do you feel Rantanen is better than Guentzel?
