If we are living in a world where Crosby decided he wanted to be moved it would be for purely futures I think. Mikko isn’t signed long term and would really cripple a pens rebuild

No, they are missing several pieces going to Pit. Crosby is a generational talent playing at an elite level.

Rantanen for Guentzel would be a more even trade. Guentzel has a year less and is 2 years older but is 3MM less and will command less in his next deal.

This trade was a joke, but getting serious for a sec. Guentzel won't get you Rantanen. It might get you Lehkonen, though.

I think Guentzel and Rantanen are close. Why is one better than the other aside from Guentzel being two years older?

So by these numbers, Guentzel is better than Rantanen. The only way he isn't better is shooting talent above average and that he is 2 years older.

Why do you feel Rantanen is better than Guentzel?
