I could definitely see Adams doing that, Idk if Krebs can make it work with Torts but certainly has the talent.

Yeah Edmonton 100% does that as it provides flexibility with trading Ceci and upgrading our middle 6

If the Sabres trade for Laughton it'll be because he's cheap, like a late round pick. If they trade Krebs for him, fans may just stop showing up completely

Idk about that
I think most fans are kind of down on Krebs

The thing that stops this from happening though,
is if we sign Mitts- which we most likely will- bc i don’t think it makes sense to bring in Laughton at 4C

Not that he wouldn’t be a good 4C- Heck, he could be a really good one for us
BUT would he be happy w that role ?
And can we afford a $3mil Cap hit for our 4C ?

Idk if it works with our Salary structure & who we have to pay coming up ?
But in a vacuum, i don’t hate the idea
We could use a few guys who play like him imo

Interesting idea @brdalesandro
Idk that it works? But i appreciate the fresh thought

You know the buy out on Cal in the offseason?

This is a very interesting idea.

I don’t think it’s enough value for the Flyers. They want a 1st for Walker and it looks to me like they’re going to get it. Tanev will set the market but once he’s gone, Walker is the best rental Dman. Broberg has had trouble sticking in the NHL on a team that doesn’t have a strong Dcorps. And that’s a lot of salary & term to bring back with the goalie swap. Probs needs another 1st/2nd or that level prospect to make it enough for flyers. EDM not likely to pay that.

Laughton is atrocious this year, he's old, slowing down like Okposo and Philly has been trying to move him since the offseason.

In that case, i guess we shouldn’t consider him
Especially not at his $3mil per Cap hit
