If Pittsburgh has a chance of losing jake and are still in contention for a playoff spot I would say go for it. At the end of the season he is a FA. If he doesn’t get resigned before hand he will probably get a similar contract as forsberg also being the same age. They are similar Compared to pints as well.

I wouldn't trade Forsberg for anything. Certainly not a 1 for 1 swap of Guentzel. Forsberg probably retires a Pred unless he choses to leave after this contract ends to chase a cup.

NSH declines trading Forsberg for a player who's not quite as good, and costs a bit more. Forsberg declines going to PIT (PIT is no more a contender than NSH, but much further away from being one again). Guentzel declines a a five year extension, and looks for more term as a FA.
