Ceci doesn't make sense for the Sabres, stop it

It literally does lol. He's a heavy shutdown dman that's also a veteran. Capable of playing in top 4. You don't think that young Sabres D core needs someone like that? Well, good luck that D core then because it ain't looking so great.

Dahlin plays his on right side, Jokiharju will get resigned and they are stuck with Clifton for another 2 years no room.

So the Sabres D core doesn't need a heavy veteran Dman and they're satisfied with keeping the D core the way it is after this season's performance? Idk about that

Ceci is having a down year, yet he still has a better on-ice shot attempts against than per 60 than Clifton, Dahliin, Power, and Johnson. The same xGA as Power and better than Clifton and Johnson. Nonetheless, Ceci would be a better partner for Power than Jokharju is. But if you really believe he isn't, then that's fine. Agree to disagree.
@HockeyGawd
Thinking u know what’s better for the Sabres than their fans is pretty ridiculous- but then again, you call yourself a “Gawd” so i guess that’s pretty on brand
Fact is: Ceci just isn’t that good
And even if u can argue that he’s better than what we have on the right side currently (he’s really not, but anyways…),
He most certainly isn’t so good that we are gonna want to ship out Jokiharju- who we have spent years developing & is playing pretty good hockey, while building chemistry with Power
Or dumping Clifton, who we just signed to a 3 year deal, and also playing decently well for us
Now if it was for a guy that’s a big time improvement,
say Carlo for example, then it would make more sense
But for a modest upgrade- AT MOST- it just doesn’t make sense
And especially not for a 3rd
If u think so highly of Ceci, then maybe u should just keep him?
Bc it’s pretty unlikely the Sabres would be persuaded to want him- especially not (in YOUR OWN WORDS) when he’s having a “down year”
Sorry guy
