JIRICEK came out publicly that he is not happy and wants out . JARMO K , will not stand for that coming from a player especially a rookie . As for the RANGERS look at the trade they are moving down 2 to 6 spots because they get the hawks 2nd this year and they get rid of the next 3 years of GOODROW and the rangers get playoff experience and center depth for a cup run .

I don't recall seeing Jiricek asking for a trade. Just that he wasn't happy and he thought he belonged in the NHL. And that doesn't change the fact that package from the Hawks is an overpay a rebuilding Hawks team doesn't do. Nothing indicates that Jiricek is going to be two 1st's better than Rinzel at this point. As for the Rangers trade, I could see the Rangers 1st and Goodrow for the Hawks 2nd. But Beau at his full cap hit is probably worth a 4th. Johnson half retained probably another 4th. And that assumes they're both healthy enough to play a month from now. Blackwell's worth a 5th. Two 4th's and a 5th isn't getting a high end prospect like Perreault.

You don't understand LOGIC.

You don't understand sarcasm . I do not care what the hawks get back in return . Give them back Hughes dirty jock strap for all i care . Jersey needs dmen desperately Foote might never play in the nhl ever again . HAMILTON , SMITH , SIEGENTHALER are all out injured whats not clear about needing depth on defense ????? Both of them would be starter in the top 6 and would stay in the top 6 even after all the injured dmen are back . They are both better then Desimone and Bahl and like i said the alleged rapist { FOOTE } will probably never play in the nhl again .

I feel for you if you think that rangers trade is even remotely sensible. Or you straight up clowning in that case you doing a good job!

With Chytil done for the season .Rangers need center depth and scoring wingers Wheeler is horrible he can not keep up . Forth line is pure garbage . Goodrow has 5 points on the season . Defense is good . Goaltending is good . This trade gives them two 2 way wingers that can chip in goals and a center who is good at taking faceoffs and leaves the Rangers with 4 mil in cap space to add someone else at the deadline . If the Rangers do not get more depth and a center who can win faceoffs and chip in on offence they are out in the first round . Outside of Kaapo the right side is total crap . Vesey is a 3rd or 4th liner on a cup team . Wheeler should be in a retirement home . Pitlick is a 13th forward at best . You have to give to get especially at the trade deadline . How does buying out Goodrow a year from now or at the end of the season make the Rangers a cup team this year ?? Panarin is 33 Kreider is 32 how many more great years do they have left . ONE WAY OR ANOTHER THE RANGERS WILL PAY TO DUMP GOODROW . And it will cost them 1st rounders or top prospects to get the cap space and the players they need for a cup run . Lets wait and see what it costs . It is usually a 2nd rounder plus plus for one year of a bad contract Goodrow has 3 years left after this year { 5 points in 48 games } . Most important thing in the cap era is cap space if you want to contend , just ask the HAWKS, LIGHTNING, TORONTO OR EDMONTON .

Really ????? Kaiser is nhl ready and was a 2nd rounder 3 yrs ago . Rinzel was a first a year and a half ago and he is having a great ncaa rookie season and was on WJC 2024 team . Plus 2 first rounder picks . Thats the equivalent of 3 firsts and a solid nhl ready dman . I am curious what CBJ will end up getting for JIRRICEK now that all the teams know he is not happy and has publicly asked out .

Total value yeah I think CBJ have to take it, but unless we're getting a top-5 pick back or an NHL-ready 1RD U23 back, it doesn't make sense from an organizational need standpoint. And to be clear: he hasn't publicly asked out or requested a trade. He publicly asked for more playing time, which...yeah, fair.

Wow that Jiricek trade is awful for the Hawks. I’m actually shocked CBJ fans won’t take this. A bottom pair LHD, a top 4 RHD having a great freshman season with Minnesota and 2 firsts. Dang. 4 NHL pieces > 1 despite draft pedigree.

Babouie I feel like maybe run your trades by some Hawks fans first before posting. These are not close. At all.

(Just quoting you here too, re: response above). Jiricek should still be a 1RD/top-15 D-man in the league when it's all said and done. Unless we're getting a player with that pedigree at that position back, we're just going to keep him, even if he requests a trade (i.e. Elvis, DeBrusk, etc.)

Look this is just my opinion I am high on JIRICEK obviously . Age difference between RINZAL and JIRICEK one year . KAISER is nhl ready . I figured with the picks Cbj would be ok with the deal thats why i put it in the description of the ACGM just wanted to hear back about what it would take . All fans buy into the team hype and overvalue there teams prospects .

Yeah, like I said I think the total value is plenty. It's just a quality vs. quantity thing, based on organizational need. We need star-level players, and you typically don't find those easily in the later half of the 1st round or beyond. We overvalue our prospects, but Jiricek is universally seen as 1RD potential and one of the best defensive prospects in the game, still, 2 years after his draft year. As a team that has plenty of prospects overall but few "best in the game" prospects, we need to get one of those franchise-potential prospects back if we're moving one. That's my opinion.

Listen it is super easy. Your not getting Gabe or Othmann or Kakko to take Goodrow. He be dealt with in the off-season. Most likely bought out.
