That doesn't get Willander unfortunately.

1. I don't think either team does that. Mittelstadt is having an awesome season but as of now, it's an outlier. If he was already extended at a number they like then maybe. Not sure BUF does that either though

2. Agree with the above comment, Quinn looks like the real deal, just had awful injury luck. As a Sharks fan, that injury looked absolutely brutal but Ferraro has something similar the other day and is only day-to-day, so hopefully it's not too serious

3. Sharks don't think twice about that. That's an easy yes from them (although he has looked very solid playing with Eklund and Sturm the past few games)

4. Not sure how Panthers fans feel about that. I think they'd prefer to keep Ekblad

Mitts has been doing this since last Season. Guy is like 13th in the League for 5vs5 points since last December. He's getting even better.

Both Florida and Vancouver pass.

Sorry Ekblad didn't grow up a Sabres fan. So he's not waiving.

Willander isn't available for basically anything unless we start getting offers for top 4 RHD

Kevin Fiala was traded for the 19th pick and Brock Faber and Faber was farther along in his development than Willander is. This is closer than you think, especially if a 1st isn't going to Buffalo. Especially Vancouver being a late pick in the 1st.

While Faber has been amazing in the NHL, he’s exceeded expectations. Willander is a better prospect than Faber was imo, which gives him more value than Faber had at the time of the trade. Fiala > Mittelstadt as well

Willander was drafted to be Hughes long term partner. The only way the Canucks would consider moving him is if they get a bonafide top 4 RHD that fits the age of the core

The kings were stacked with current RHD and RHD prospects, Canucks aren't. Even if the value is fair for BUF, Willander holds more value to VAN then he would in a trade

I don't deny that, agree about Vancouver valuing him more. Just don't think it's as unfair as some say.
