Caps can get more for Dowd, especially if the trade is in division. Caps also can get more for Mantha. Milano is not a player the Caps would want to move. Young, good skater, and easily can move throughout the lineup.

I believe Mantha (W/retention) and Dowd can both fetch 2nds with the way they’re playing.

Patches only signed with Wash for the full NMC to so he doesn’t have to be traded. Highly doubt he’s moving unless a chooses the team.

Really confused on how a third is too much for Pacioretty with 50% retention. He’s looked very good since coming back and there would be multiple suitors for him. Granted he has full control with his NMC. A “fringe prospect” would probably be more valuable than a third, so it’s kinda moot.

With the way he’s been playing and the way that the trade deadline inflates values of pending UFAs, a second is more than reasonable especially with this retention.

I don’t think Toronto should move him, but I’d be very happy for the caps to scoop him up if they decide to. I’m not huge on Voit personally, but a third rounder and a late pick for TVR would be a fine return.

I feel like Milano is going to get replaced between Leonard, Miro, and Lapierre looking to make a full time roster spot for themselves next season. That’s the only reason. Otherwise I agree they should keep him. We’ll see what happens though.
