Matthews is 5th all time in goals per game (ahead of Bure, Ovi and Gretzky). He is a generational goal scoring centre. In saying that... this package would be hard to turn down.

This is clearly purely fantasy land... but the value is more than enough here.

I mean, of course Matthews is the best player in this trade but let's be honest, the Leafs would have to do this.

The value is there... But BUF is a div rival + Matthews is franchise guy

I don’t see the Sabres wanting to add a huge Cap hit like
