Description

A Lindholm extension probably carries a Horvat-like AAV @ 8.5M per. Doing that and extending both Hronek and Pettersson really limits their ability to contend in the following 3 years, so if they are loading up with Lindholm this year, I'd do it with the understanding that you're trading Petey in the summer, and try to recoup the loss of Lekkerimaki in the deal. Unless of course Pettersson goes the Crosby/Bergeron route and signs a team friendly extension. And if the cost for Lindholm is Hoglander, I'm not making that deal.

For the Canucks to consider this package Lindholm would have to b retained to at least 50% and have an extension in place.

Nah, what Xhekaj brings to this team is more than points. Everyone plays better when he is in the line up because they feel safer. I’m not a big fan of his play but I know what he brings is rare and valuable
