No thanks. NY would get much more from just about anywhere if offering the 1st round.

Why would a team make the picks in a deal for a player conditional upon the team's performance in the playoffs if the player won't play in them? Once the Kings theoretically acquire Allen to back up Cam Talbot, they won't be trading Talbot.

A condition that makes sense is that the picks become the 2025 second if Allen plays in 25% of the playoff games.

Not if it's a late round pick in the high 20's. The value is about right.

He's in Montreal because Calgary didn't want him. The ask is a 1st round pick which they will get from some team out there, maybe not NYR but like I said the value is about right.

nobody wanted him because he had a bad hip, that's fixed now and while he's not back to being point per game he's still a very good player who makes less than $2,000,000

Lol, '' nobody wanted him '', maybe because his contract was little bit under 6,3M (who a team like MTL haved the cap space, but not somes other teams) and he haved a hip injury who everything right now is fixed...............................................................

Stop trying to find somes arguments without knowing the context.

You can not like Monahan, but that's 1000% a realistic value.

I'd say I'll comment after the trade deadline, when Monahan has been traded for that 1st pick but, I'll have moved on by then.
