      Interesting. What makes you say that?

      My POV was Maatta and Kostin pretty much make up the cap, and DET has replacements for both. Berggren and 3rd are decent value I would think for a player playing at a 66 point pace.

      Fair enough. About $3M of extra cap space can make that happen. That LW1 can also be any free agent.

      Uh 4 more years at 5 mil AAV left on the Rust contract?

      Red Wings have to give big raises to Seider and Raymond this summer.

      Definitely true, but Perron, Kane, Ghost & Sprong come off the books after this szn and Fabbri & Husso next, so a lot of cap being freed up.

      The term is the biggest killer here. Paying to add a 31 winger is not a good move for this organization and where they are right now.

      But it's not enough. We will be right to the cap next season unless Seider and Raymond get bridge deals, which I hope not. Other players to pay as well not to mention filing out the depth.
