Yeah eff it - I’d do that from the caps perspective. He needs to go.

The Kings don't want futures. They want immediate improvements. They might move Spence, but not for this return.

Assuming this is after Kuz's signing bonus is paid, I might be into that. If CHI doesn't like him, take the pick and buy him out, problem solved.

As for the second trade, I like Kaiser a lot, but if we use him to add another RD, I would be all in. Plus, I want to draft his brother, Malcolm, in 2025.

What do you think LA is looking for? They seem pretty set for the foreseeable future as far as their NHL lineup goes, with plenty of guys on the way, too. I would figure futures would be all they would want. But I'm no expert on LA.

Puck-moving top-four LHD. Middle-six right-handed scoring forward. Goaltender (inexpensive rental or quality long-term).

Yeah. That's not Kaiser. He likes to keep the puck for himself. And we aren't trading Vlasic or Korchinski, that's for sure. So, for LHD, just Tinordi, Megna, or a young prospect level player like Phillips, or Roos. Middle 6 F... We have some that would be gambles, but could benefit heavily from playing on a better roster and we could retain too. Tyler Johnson, Blackwell, Beauvillier, Guttman (who is still developing but is also an LA native), Pitlick and Anderson have been way more impressive than I expected them to be, Katchouk, Raddysh, Donato, ...Athanasiou (whom LA already had and probably isn't looking for round two with), etc. We have a lot of bodies that are going to need to be either traded or waived when guys start coming off IR. Then for goalie, there is Mrazek who says he is healthier than he has been in 5 years thanks to CHI's training staff and has been standing on his head for us, keeping us in games we have no business being in.

If I had to guess, I suspect the Kings will dangle Spence to Ottawa in a package for Chychrun.

Interesting. In the summer or TDL?

Probably summer. When Arvidsson comes back, the Kings won't be able to afford Chychrun's cap hit and probably don't want to pay Ottawa to retain salary.

Interesting. Chych seems like he would fit with LA pretty well too. I'm surprised they didn't win the bid last year.

Arizona insisted on Clarke being included in the deal and Blake wouldn't go for it so they went after Gavrikov instead.

Oh yeah. That's right. I'm not a big fan of Clarke, but that seems like a ridiculous ask. How's Gavi doing?

Solid. Not worth $5.8M IMO, but he's 100x better than Durzi.

I think LA just wanted Druzi to be something he's not. But yeah, Gavi fits what LA needed way more. And Durzi is benefitting from the change of scenery. Which, good for him. I'm team first too, but I still like to see players succeed and get rewarded, even if it's somewhere else... Unless it looks like a fleece in hindsight. haha. Then I'm pissed.
