Let’s keep it real. He’s not worth that much with an expiring deal and Perfetti is probably more valuable just because of age. I don’t think this is a proper offer for Guentzel however Perfetti and a 1st would never happen.

Need a center or top 4 dman, no need for a winger.

let's actually keep it real:

1. players the caliber of guentzel are not rentals and expiring deals don't have this huge outcome on things.
2. it's either prefetti ++, or not dealing with Winnipeg.
3. IF guetnzel will be traded the price will be so high considering he still makes only 6mil and with retention could be THE best contract in the league.
4. IF guentzel will be traded he'll sign a 10x7 deal with the team he is being sent to or else no team will pay for what he is worth and there is no way dubas trades guentzel as a rental cuz at that point pens are just better keeping him for a last run and use cap space in the summer.

5. his value is: TOP tier prospect + a 1st round pick + good player

example: Nemec + 1st + McLeod

The fact of the matter is Perfetti is not a prospect he’s a top 6 player who just turned 22 and you can’t just say Guentzel will sign because nobody knows that a lot of players just get traded as rentals just to not sign at his caliber especially since he’s not a young RFA. Guentzel also doesn’t really make sense for Winnipeg they won’t have the money to resign him and are in more need of a center than a winger. I could definitely see Lucius, 1st and Stanley/Kupari I just don’t see any reason for Winnipeg to go for Guentzel when there’s players like Lindholm available.
