Description

- Vitek Vanecek needs to be sent down to AHL Utica. He is the reason we didn't get 2 points last night... again

- Petr Mrazek doesn't have numbers that will WOW you this year, but neither do elite goalies like Sorokin and Shesterkin this year. Mrazek has a .903 save% and 3.17 GAA which is actually impressive considering how bad the Blackhawks play in front of him

- Coming into the year, if you told me that I had to pay a 3rd and a prospect for Mrazek I wouldn't have liked it, but Vanecek has left us no other option

Chicago passes. They have a gluttony of left defensemen in their system already and a 3rd rounder in this years draft probably doesn't appeal to them when they have three 2nds and two 3rds already.

Vukojevic is built like a linebacker and would fit the Richardson's style but like mpf noted, the Hawks are very deep with lefthanded defensemen. Maybe his 6' 3" 215lbs frame appeals more to management and they consider this but I think they would rather trade for RD and forwards at the moment.

That would be a swing and a miss!

Vukojevic plays a rare position of depth for Chicago and quite frankly the buzz around the kid peaked in minor midget and has diminished to basically nothing at this point.

I see you’ve scratched Jack Hughes. If he has fallen out of favor in NJ the Hawks would probably give him a tryout. Change of scenery could revive his career maybe. We’d of course give you Mrazek in exchange.

Thank you for having a sense of humor and seeing my sarcasm. That said, I’ve been impressed with Mrazek’s play this year. Obviously with a better team and system in front of him he could do well. Even with a 3.0 GAA on an offensively gifted team like NJ (once all the injuries are over) he could do well.
