Doesn't Necas show up in the playoffs? This is a complete 180 for a contender, no? He is exactly what I Don't want my team to target... imo anyway

I agree... Necas and Zegras are the same kind of player and Zegras is going to struggle in this system just like Necas has

Necas does not show up in the playoffs. 7 points in 15 postseason games last year was his best playoff PPG rate of his career. 2019-20 includes the play-in where the Canes beat up on the tanking Rangers so a lot of totals from that year are inflated, hence why I'm not including his 4 points in 8 games that year.

Necas has mostly been missing in the playoffs and doesn't drive play. His game isn't really built for the playoffs - he's a perimeter player and he struggles without time/space and in more physical games.

At the same time, he only costs $3mil right now. If I were moving Necas in a trade now, I'd package him with a 1st/2nd draft pick or prospect and go for a higher tier player if possible.
