Description

Well, Verbeek went and got the elite scoring winger (hopefully) that we needed. I'm sure the fallout of what occured will come out in the coming days between Gauthier and Philly, I'm also certain that due diligence was done with Cutter to ensure he would sign in Anaheim.

However, we still have too many forwards, so I would expect to see trades starting sooner rather than later to start moving out forwards to clear that out. I don't think Silf moves though, his deal is likely unmovable even with retention.

I'd say there's a pretty good chance that Anaheim looks at a dman which Drysdale out. They have some great options this draft will be defining on how much longer until Anaheim emerges from the rebuild

I have a hard time believing that. Verbeek gave up next year's second, he needs to make sure it's not pick #33 next year. Unless someone pulls out Jeannot money I think he stays. Middle 6 needs scoring too.

Cutter is taking his place next season so getting max value at this TDL.

I didn’t think he’d be going anywhere without a “you can’t say no” package in return until the trade today. Think that changes things.

Think the hope would be turning Vatrano and Henrique’s returns into a top 4 RHD.

I think Verbeek likes Vatrano too much, he's the role model he wants the team to follow.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see Verbeek swing with Zegras and Vatrano to get Dobson + offsetting cap or something if the like.
