Montreal fans will tell you Xhekaj is a PP D and worth much more than you're offering somehow
Quoting: CBA
MTL definitely decline, we aren't trading the Xhekaj brothers
It's been reported that MTL COULD easily get a 1st round pick for Arber alone
A more realistic trade would be Dillon Dube vs Jordan Harris

This is because montreal has no reason to move him. You're going to have to overpay.

Reported by who? I'll eat a Xhekaj jersey if he's traded for a 1st

xhekaj isnt going anywhere. any offer that dosnt sting like rubbing garlic into your eyes wont be enough
it would be somthing like a 1st, AND peletier for a meet and greet, autograph, and maybe a handshake from the sherrif

Just want to clarify we’re talking about a 23 year old undrafted AHL enforcer btw

Good luck with this one. Habs fans are gonna treat you like they're Xhekaj and you're Kassian.

Arber will cost way more, 31 team wants a guy like him. He is not in Laval because his time in Montreal is over, he is there to rebuild confidence and work on some aspect of his game, which is very successfull if you are looking at his result in the AHL.
To all dreamer, you can trade for Arber as much as you want but in reality, we all know it won't happen.
May I interest you in J.Barron or J.Harris? You can also make an offer on D.Savard or Kovacevic depending on your need. You can even try Matheson, but it won't come cheap.
Xhekaj, Ghule and Struble aren't going anywhere.

Well we are kind of tired to have every other teams fanbases trying to get him for cheap. Like if the fact that everybody whants him on their team has nothing to do with the fact he's a unique fast skater enforcer with a killer shot paid under $1M.

no thanks from montreal, last thing we need is a 3rd line winger and youre offer is very low to begin with

There's no real reason for Montreal to trade Xhekaj now and Dube is hardly the kind of player they'd be looking for in return if they would move him (in terms of impact, age, role, contract status, etc.). Dube doesn't really make sense for Montreal period, Xhekaj or not.
As a side note - do you think Calgary wants Dube back on his QO?
Sorry for quoting you all at the same time lol, this just seemed easier than individually.
I had it broken down like this
Wifi + Norlinder for Dubé
F.Xhekaj for Lipinski + 6th rounder (to make up for the 10 or so draft spots between them, I haven't seen either of them play)
I believe Xhekaj has top 4 potential but, those of you saying he's in the plans of the future for the Habs I'd say your wrong.
1st pair Guhle + Barron or Mailloux
2nd pair Hudson + Reinbacher
3rd pair probably some vets for stability. These pairings seem the most likely for the Habs future D-Core 5yrs or less from now, I don't think Xhekaj despite how much of a fan favorite he is, actually factors into what the most likely plan is for the team.
Now despite his play this year, no real excuse other than maybe he's the only guy that might've like Sutter, Dubé had 45 points last year as the 8th most used forward and only 4PP points, to compare Toffoli had about 48 points without his 25PPpoints. Not bad IMO
I honestly think he could pair better with Caufield and Suzuki than any other player the Habs have. I understand you have it as Wifi is the most valuable player but, I think Dubé track record makes him the more valuable player and for that we'll all just disagree.
For those of you saying Xhekaj and Harris are trade chips that can be used to acquire a bonified young-ish top 6 forward, I'd strongly disagree.
Anyway, I think we all just make ACGMs for ideas and some hockey discussion, I liked your opinions for the most part and I can definitely see an argument for the Flames needing to add to this type of hypotrade but, not at the levels all of you seem to be suggesting
Sorry for how long this was haha
