I’d love Lindholm and Hanifin in a Boston uniform this year or next.

Boston doesn’t have the draft capital to make that type of deal and as long as Hanifin makes it to FA, I expect he is a Bruin without giving up anything in July.

The standard rental rate is a 1st and a 3rd. With enough retention, it could become a 1st and a 2nd. If you take a bad contract, you can get more. If prospects are involved, it will be interesting to see how teams value them. I personally prefer players who have performed at the AHL level or college to a pick, but picks have their value

Since Calgary really hasn’t shown a willingness to take retention, I’d be surprised if they take retention on both.

I’m going to be really intrigued to see what Calgary gets for these two. I was closer on Zadarov’s value. I’m pretty comfortable I will be closer on these two unless they bundle them with additional valuable players.

Boston would accept that and if thats all it took to acquire Hanafin and Lindholm, the deal would have been done by now
