Nothing in Willy's game suggests he'll fall back. His style of play results in very little injury concerns. And his shooting percentage is in line with his career average and he's producing right around what he should be based on all the numbers. That's sustainable.

As to your actual argument, I (not a Leafs fan) am inclined to agree with you. If Nylander can keep his current standard of play, it *might* be worth it, but I have serious doubts about that.

You shouldn't, looking at his numbers they are all in line. Meaning nothing here is unsustainable. He generates scoring chances at an elite rate. And his shooting percentage is right at his career average. This isn't an outlier, it's him becoming a complete player. I know many on here will just refuse to see it, mainly because they want to see the Leafs fail. The poster here has only made terrible Nylander deals for fun. He's not a fan but a troll. Which is so fitting to see him cry about being picked on for being called out. Back to Willy, this isn't a surprise. Follow his career and you see why it isn't. His problem was never talent and ability. It was consistency and it's gotten better each year. Last year he was dominant apart from a stretch midway through the season.
