Canes don’t do more than 3rds for rentals. I don’t see them breaking that for mantha. Make it a 3rd with no retention

This would have been an interesting trade for the Jackets at the start of the season, but lately it's kinda feeling like centers aren't a huge issue for them. Fantilli is looking like a legit top 6C, Sillinger and Voronkov are both showing the ability to play 2C, Boone is a solid top 6C still and Kuraly rounds out the 4C spot. Wingers seem to be the big need for the Jackets now and that's if Laine continues to not play up to expectations when he gets back from injury.

I think if the jackets really wanted a center they would have traded for kuzy/ Hayes or signed duchene. Along with any other cheap center option. Think they are currently content not brining in someone with a checkered past.
